No they are not going out of fashion It's still living. We've gone from like the Sex Pistols and The Ramones to the likes of GreenDay and Blink182. You'll always get bands like this , which is a great thing, you may not like all of them but punk is still up and running

Haha, Simple Plan haven't hit the mainstream yet? They're *huge* in America, and they're becoming quite popular over here, I think (although I don't pay attention to the charts, so I don't know how they do in that). MxPx are good, they're not *that* mainstream, but they're more well known than the other two. Pop punk is probably one of the most popular genres of music at the moment.
Actual punk... I dunno, punk isn't just about the music, it's a whole culture, and while the culture of the late '70s is dead, there's still an element of punk that's alive. You'll always get punk bands, but you also get the bands who aren't punk but people label as punk, and that kills punk a bit.
