Grr it doesn't let you post long messages, so I'll have to split it up.
Chapter 1
‘Hey babe!’ James grinned.
Amy smiled, stepping outside into the cool air. They had been dating for about three weeks now, and James was taking her to see a movie she’d been waiting to see for ages.
James opened the car door and she got in, laughing about how much of a gentleman he was. He jumped in the other side, and turned the engine on, backing out of Amy’s driveway carefully. They set off, and Amy turned the radio on.
‘What kind of shit is this?’ she laughed, changing the station. A Stacie Orrico song was playing, so Amy sang along.
James smiled, and they soon arrived at the centre. They both got out, and entered the building, making their way over to get their tickets.
‘Hey… booked two tickets under the name of Bourne.’
The receptionist checked the computer quickly, and found the tickets, passing them over to James. He and Amy went up the stairs to the cinema. Amy nipped to the toilet on the way to quickly check that she was looking OK.
She looked in the mirror and thought about how lucky she was. She had never been very popular at school, and she had only been able to dream of being with one of the “cool” people, like James. No one, especially Amy, had ever imagined that he would even look at her. And yet he did - and liked what he saw, too. Personally, Amy couldn’t understand what he did see in someone like her.
She emerged from the toilets to be greeted by James, along with a tub of Smarties.
‘Just thought I might as well buy something while you were busy trying to make yourself even more gorgeous,’ James grinned, taking her hand and leading her to find their seats. They were situated near the back, which suited them fine, and they sat down to wait for the movie to start.
It was 10.30pm and the film had finished. James and Amy were walking out to the car, when they were spotted by Amy’s friend, Meredith.
‘Hey Amy!’ she shouted, pushing past people to join the pair.
‘Hi Mere.’
‘I was wondering, I’m inviting Michelle over for Saturday - wanna come?’
‘Sure, what time?’
‘Uh, we could meet in town in the afternoon some time, say about two, go shopping a bit -’ James rolled his eyes ‘- and then come back to mine and stay the night.’
‘Sounds great! I’ll be there.’
‘Cool, I’ll probably phone you before then anyway, so I’ll see you, yeah?’ Meredith walked over to her car, waving at Amy as she got in.
Amy and James arrived at his car, and they jumped in.
‘So was the movie as good as you expected?’ James asked her, as they set off down the road.
‘Yeah, it was cool!’ Amy grinned. They chatted about random things on the way back to Amy’s.
‘Jimmy, thanks for the great night,’ said Amy, when they were back outside her house.
He smiled and put his arms around her, leaning in to kiss her softly. She kissed him back eagerly. After a few minutes, they broke apart, and Amy opened her front door.
‘See you tomorrow then! Love you.’ She blew him a kiss, and he said cheerio before returning to his car and driving off.
Amy sighed contentedly and went upstairs to get ready for bed.
Chapter 2
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Amy groaned and reached over to turn off her alarm. It was 11am on Saturday morning, and she had to help her younger sister, Rachel, wash the car before she could meet her friends in town.
Getting dressed, she smiled as she thought of James. He was probably down at the park right now, playing football with his mates. Or still in bed, snoozing away.
She went downstairs and grabbed some breakfast before finding a bucket and filling it with water.
She picked up two sponges and took the bucket outside, where Rachel was mucking around with a football, waiting for her sister.
‘Finally!’ she exclaimed.
‘Hey, I didn’t see YOU getting the stupid water and stuff,’ Amy retorted. She set the bucket down by the car, and the two girls set to work.
‘AHHHH!!!!’ screamed Amy, as she felt water pour down her back. ‘You cow!’ She laughed, dipping her sponge in the bucket and chasing Rachel to try and get her back. ‘You just wait till I get the hose out, young lady!’
Amy was on the bus, going into the town centre to meet Michelle and Meredith. It stopped, and she leapt off, making her way towards Woolworths, where they had arranged to meet.
‘Hiya!’ Michelle called, who was already there.
‘Hey. Any sign of Mere?’
‘Not yet… she had to do something for her Mum first, but she should be here in a minute.’
About five minutes later, Meredith joined them, and they set off for the shopping centre across the road.
‘Anywhere in particular you guys wanna go?’ Meredith asked.
Michelle shrugged. ‘Not really, just look through clothes shops really. Oh, and check out HMV and stuff too.’
‘Yeah, then we could get something to eat somewhere,’ added Amy.
The girls spent the next hour or two browsing through most of the shops, occaisonally finding something mildly interesting, but not buying anything.
‘Here, my stomach needs something. How about we go to McDonalds or whatever, since we’re near there?’ Amy suggested.
The other two agreed, so they made their way over to McDonalds for a snack. Everyone got a cheeseburger and chips, which they decided to take with them to the park, which was about a five minute walk away.
When they arrived, Amy immediately rushed over to the round swing, quickly followed by Michelle and Meredith.
‘Aww, I wanted to go to the little house thing to finish my chips, but someone’s already in there,’ Meredith sighed.
Amy laughed. ‘Ooh, I’m gonna be nosy!’ She and Michelle went closer to the small hut, and mucked about there for a minute.
Suddenly Amy realised it was James in there, so she went to say hi, when…
‘Oh my God, Michelle…’ Amy stood, stunned. She was shocked at what she saw - James was cuddling up with another girl! Amy felt tears running down her cheeks, when James looked up at her, and she turned away, running in the opposite direction, towards the swings, where she sat on one and started sobbing.
Seconds later, James was by her side, with Michelle, Meredith and The Bitch (Amy decided that would be her name) right behind him.
‘Oh no… aww babes, trust me, that wasn’t how it looked at all… this is a mate of mine, Heidi, and she’s been through a hell of a lot lately, so I was just… cheering her up. Oh God, this turned bad… Amy, don’t cry, I’m really sorry. I love you.’ He put his arms around her, and she felt unbelievably relieved. His lips touched hers, and they sat there kissing each other, until Michelle coughed.
‘Uh, sorry…’ Amy blushed. James grinned at her, and she laughed. She stood up and apologised to Heidi, who was standing by them looking uncomfortable, for overreacting about everything.
Michelle grabbed Amy’s arm. ‘Hey, how about I spin you round on the swing over there?’
Amy laughed. ‘Count me in!’
