What do you get if you mix two boyband singers, lots of free booze and an impending court case? A cat fight, of course.
Ex-Busted star James Bourne has been threatened with a restraining order after a war of words with former-bandmate Ki Fitzgerald, 21.
Trouble began when James, 22 and Ki- who left before Busted hit big- were at a bash for new nightclub Paper and Glass in London on Wednesday.
James confronted his childhood pal over Ki's decision to sue the now-defunct band for royalties.
Our champagne guzzling spy reveals: "It was daggers at dawn when James and Ki laid eyes on each other. It was obvious there is a lot of tension there."
"After about half an hour James squared up to Ki. He got right in his face threatening to knock him out and saying Ki's new band wouldn't get a deal as they're shit." Ouch!
"Ki didn't rise to the bait, which seemed to annoy James further. In the end, J.Lo's ex husband Chris Judd, who was at the party with James, had to drag him away."
But that wasn't enough for Ki, who went home and called the police.
A spokesperson for the Met told us yesterday: "We were called by a man at 2.37am. He didn't persue criminal allegations but wanted police to be aware of an ongoing civil dispute. We will be taking no further action."
A spokesperson for Ki's band Eyes Wide Open told us: "A letter has been sent to James' lawyers saying we will be forced to take out a restraining order if it happens again.
We're sure James will realise the seriousness of the situation and leave Ki alone."
A spokesperson for James said: "James and Ki had words but there was no physical contact."
